Katrina S. Akita is the CEO of Maki-Tect Enterprises, Inc., a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) that excels in the design-build industry. Under her leadership, Maki-Tect has expanded its services to include architectural design, construction, and graphic design solutions. Katrina's strategic direction has transformed Maki-Tect into a versatile company delivering high-quality, integrated design-build projects tailored to each client. Beyond her professional endeavors, Katrina serves as the Treasurer of Helping Hands Global, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting marginalized communities.Through Helping Hands, she is committed to providing essential healthcare and education services in the USA and Ghana, reflecting her dedication to empowering the underprivileged and driving positive change.

With 17 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, Katrina is known as an analytical innovator. Her academic background includes a B.S. in Chemistry, an M.S. in Physics and Chemistry, and an Executive MBA. Her expertise in petroleum analysis and GLP compliance has driven operational excellence, while her advocacy for Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards promotes sustainability across projects.Katrina is also deeply involved in her church, serving as Minister of Music for the past 25 years at the Church of Greater Faith. Her long-standing commitment to her faith community further highlights her dedication to service and leadership, both professionally and personally.
